Desai Textiles' story begins in 1935 with the entrepreneurial spirit of Late Sheth Shri Nathalal Amulakh Desai. His vision and drive led to the establishment of Jaysingpur Oil Mills, laying the foundation for the Desai Group's diverse business ventures.
For over eight decades, the Desai family has played a pivotal role in the industrial development of Kolhapur & Sangli District.
Invited by the Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaja of Kolhapur State to spearhead industrial activities, the Desai family received generous support, including ten acres of land to expand their operations. Since then, the Desai Group has flourished, branching out into various sectors across Kolhapur and Sangli districts.
The second generation, led by Late Sheth Shri Gulabchandbhai Nathalal Desai, brought youthful enthusiasm, intelligence, and tireless dedication to the family business.
His astute business acumen and successful ventures further solidified the Desai Group's position in the region.
Late Shri Kiranbhai Desai, a visionary leader with a strong foundation in business principles, spearheaded the group's foray into the textile industry.
His remarkable journey from starting the textile division to introducing automatic weaving machines in the decentralized sector set a new benchmark for the industry. It was his foresight and action that demonstrated the immense potential of the decentralized sector.
